Vol. 11 No. 1 (2025): Citizenship Education: Connections to Place, Past, and Truth and Reconciliation

This edition features articles that explore the relations between place and citizenship and Truth and Reconciliation in Canada and internationally. Citizenship ideas are rooted in place and society and influenced by context and change. The authors in this issue critically explore the nature of citizenship and citizenship education in relation to the experiences of Canadians and new immigrants to Canada and their engagement with Truth and Reconciliation. Articles also explore conceptual and applied research on the nature of ecological citizenship, Geography education and citizenship, and calls for more social citizenship in Canada.
