Abstract

I wrote this piece as an homage to my younger self. I now have the proper language and knowledge to dissect the information that I was told should be the ‘truth’. This piece is a personal journey that has brought me confusion, happiness, and success.

Drew Peal

I am a Gender and Women’s studies major, I am thrilled to join this group of amazing people this year as a new member. The ability to understand the world through a feminist/queer lens has given me the power to critically think the structures that shape life as we know it. I have the ability to push against these structures in a meaningful way, with the intention to spark change for marginalized individuals.
