Abstract

Ameliorate is a poignant piece meant to induce reflections about the intricacies and subtleties of life. It attempts to ask the timeless question: Can you bear to look at yourself in the mirror when stripped of all your valor and achievements? My piece connects to this year’s theme through a philosophical lens of “What if everything didn’t have to be so serious and there was more room for joy, pleasure, and silliness?”
