Abstract

This poem speaks to leaving someone meaningful behind. I like to explore how ordinary objects and domestic moments can hold complicated feelings and the quiet aftermath of our relationships. Our choices can linger, and thematically, this is expressed through the haunting imagery.

Barha Kainth

My name is Barha Kainth (she/her), and I'm a fourth-year computer science student at UBCO, from Langley, British Columbia. I've always had a love for books, movies, and all kinds of storytelling. I hope to write stories that have an impact on others and make them feel seen, the same way that I felt growing up. I also love to travel, and hope to see even more of the world.
