Abstract

Resistance is an act of defiance, expression and self-discovery. Exposure to Familiarity explores the quiet suffocation of conformity, where one blends but feels displaced. The Power of Silence delves deeper into the self as the environment around may be causing conflict but peace can be found within. Resistance is not always a vocal or physical act but, more often, it is an internal struggle against expectations and circumstances. Circling Endless Leads captures the confusion, anger and resilience required to break unwanted patterns. Together, these pieces examine pressure, perseverance and defiance portraying resistance as an act of self-preservation and transformation.
