Abstract

“Who Could” is a refection one how words, ideas and actions have shaped my mind. The piece shows the struggle between two worlds: one suffering and feeling the impact of these ideas while the other is higher, warmer and consoling the other half. This piece was created after FIRESEN’s retirement from competitive sport. After her retirement she felt chained by the ideas the sport had left her with. Feeling shamed, controlled and overwhelmed she needed to release and express these ideas and rules she had been hold onto her whole life. “Who Could” stands up against and rebels against ideas that were harmful or no longer serve her.
