Capitol P for Privilege

I wrote “Capitol P For Privilege” as a reflection after the 2021 riot on the United States Capitol building. This piece was aimed to amplify the blatant racism Brown people experience in a post-9/11 world while exposing the privilege that whiteness affords.

Anika Chimni

Anika Chimni is an English Major with an emphasis on early modern women’s literature and contemporary theory at the University of British Columbia. She is passionate about social justice, reproductive politics, de-sexualizing the female body, and the gendering of fashion. She hopes someday to get a Master’s degree in Social Justice.
