Moozan Ahmadzadegan

Moozhan is an emerging Okanagan based artist primarily focused in painting and printmaking. Moozhan attempts to use his platform as an artist to advocate for various social and political movements he believes in. The work submitted comes from an ongoing series of screen-prints titled Protest. These works aim to address relevant socio-political topics observable in the current times. Taking inspiration from protest posters, signs of resistance, and movements, this body of work is engaged with various social and political issues ranging from feminist movements, LGBT advocacy, challenging oppressive systems, and more, all with underlying themes of equality and acceptance. Protest reflects recent times and aims to challenge viewers to think critically and to start a conversation.
